Release
Filmmakers Brant Sersen and A.J. Dickerson spent much of their senior year at the University of Miami documenting punk and hardcore bands as they toured through Florida. Over the next few years, A.J. would edit the film while Brant continued shooting in New York and New Jersey. What emerged was a do-it-yourself video doc about the growing scene of hardcore and punk music, told by the bands themselves - Sick of it All, Bouncing Souls, H2O, Earth Crisis, Bad Religion, Agent Orange, Face to Face, Less Than Jake, Yuppicide, MXPX, amd Blink-182. "Release" premiered to a sold-out crowd at the 6th Annual New York Underground Film Festival and was picked up for international distribution by Victory Records. Two years after its video release, a DVD was issued, featuring a collection of additional interviews and stories.
