This two-hour feature documentary explores the inner workings of a college football team in transition. When John Mackovic, a strict and demanding new head coach steps in to jump-start a fledgeling football program, the players are visibly shaken. One fails to meet the new weight requirements and nearly kills himself trying to stay on the team. Others feel verbally assaulted. And while the season starts off strong, it quickly crashes into six straight losses. The players struggle to maintain morale, while their strained relationship with Coach Mackovic worsens.

"You can kiss your senior year goodbye."
Senior Anthony Thomas fails to make
weight at the season's start.

The film follows five UA players - sophomore running back Clarence Farmer, senior defensive lineman Anthony Thomas, junior wide receiver Bobby Wade, senior cornerback Anthony Banks and junior quarterback Jason Johnson - through the tumultuous first season under new head coach John Mackovic.

"Let's face the facts. We're just not that good."
Following their 5th straight loss, the team
loses all morale.

The crew lived in Tucson through four months of football practice and games, both home and away. Shot on DigiBeta 16x9, the show was edited at an on-site Avid and onlined back in Los Angeles before premiering on ESPN in two one-hour programs.
